Strawberry & Banana Protein Smoothie Handmade

I have gotten away from making smoothies and I am not quite sure why so this morning I figured I had some strawberries and bananas perfect morning for a protein smoothie made my way! This is a super simple recipe and remember you can change it up and add anything else you want to this the most important thing is getting your protein in from your yogurt and or protein powder.

Ingredients:

1/2 Scoop Unflavored Whey Protein (15 grams of protein)
4-5 sliced strawberries
1/2 banana (eat the other half lol)
1/3 cup of skim milk
1 cup of Vanilla Flavored Greek Yogurt (Greek yogurt has MUCH higher protein this one had 18 grams)

Just add everything to the blender and mix, you may need to adjust your milk to get the constinency you wish for, I had to add a little bit more milk to thin  mine out. Remember this is a very versatile recipe I have even changed out made a chocolate strawberry smoothie by removing the bananas and changing the unflavored protein powder for a chocolate protein powder, the only limit is your imagination.

Let me know how  you like this recipe!!

  1. I haven't had a smoothie since surgery. I used to drink green smoothies all the time and I love them. Hopefully I can drink them again eventually. I have to be careful with the fruit smoothies because they can contain a lot of sugar and carbs. This one seems pretty low sugar and carb and can be easily tweaked to have even less.

  2. The smoothie sounds delish. Sometimes I put powdered peanut butter in my smoothies - it has very little fat and adds a bit of protein and LOTS of flavor. I like your nice simple recipe.
